Introduction

In June 2022, the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030) (referred to as ‘Ocean Decade’) Collaborative Center on Ocean-Climate Nexus and Coordination amongst Decade Implementing Partners in P.R. China (DCC-OCC) was established under the endorsement of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO. DCC-OCC is hosted by the First Institute of Oceanography under the guidance of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) of China. It is one of the first five Decade Collaborative Centres (DCCs) all over the world, and the only one in China.
