The United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development （2021-2030）， also known as the "Ocean Decade", is the largest and most influential global ocean science initiative today. Since the planning and launch of the "Ocean Decade", China has been deeply involved, demonstrating its responsibility and commitment to promoting global ocean governance and sustainable development. The "Ocean Decade" is about to undergo a mid-term evaluation, with multiple important achievements released in 2024 and positive contributions made in multiple important international processes. Combining the latest progress of the "Ocean Decade", it will provide scientific planning for China's future key work directions and fields, efficiently support the work of the "Ocean Decade" Chinese Committee, and timely study and form a more prominent and distinctive "Ocean Decade" with Chinese characteristics. The sentence is: As a result, the 2024 Seminar on Promoting the Implementation of the United Nations Decade of the Ocean and the Meeting of All Member Units of the United Nations Decade of the Ocean in Campus Alliance will be held in Shenzhen from January 2-4, 2025.The theme of this conference is "Deeply Participating in International Processes and Effectively Building Chinese Achievements". It is jointly organized by the United Nations "Decade of the Ocean" Ocean and Climate Cooperation Center, Southern University of Science and Technology, and the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and has received strong support from the "Decade of the Ocean" International Cooperation Center and other units.
