To the Youth of the World,
The "Blue Wave Conference: Youth Empowerment for Ocean Science and Action," organized by the China Ocean Mineral Resources R & D Association (COMRA) and other institutions, will take place at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Baoan Venue) on October 30–31, 2025. On this occasion, the Global Youth Ocean Art Exhibition will be held, dedicated to the display of painting artworks. We now officially invite young participants worldwide to submit their original paintings.

Eligibility
This call for entries imposes no age-based categories. Individuals aged 24 and under are eligible to participate.
Submission Guidelines
Theme: Youth Empowerment for Ocean Science and Action
Sub-themes include, but are not limited to:
Marine natural wonders and biodiversity
The mysteries of the deep sea
Maritime culture and history
Ocean exploration, scientific research, and technological innovation
Marine environmental and ecological conservation
Life in fishing communities and coastal societies
Marine renewable energy, new materials, and visions of future oceanic cities
Detailed requirements:
1. Works must conform to the theme, demonstrate clear artistic expression, exhibit originality and creativity, and reflect a profound commitment to marine conservation and social responsibility.
2. Compositions should be well-balanced, structurally coherent, and visually dynamic, with substantial emotional resonance and artistic impact.
3. The artist’s statement must be clearly written, with a comprehensive and logically structured interpretation of the work that aligns with its intended message.
4. All painting media, tools, and formats are acceptable. This includes children’s art, traditional Chinese painting (ink, color ink, gongbi, xieyi, etc.), Western painting (sketch, drawing, acrylic, oil, watercolor, etc.), comics, and digital art (minimum resolution 300 dpi).
5. All submissions must be original. Plagiarism or unauthorized adaptation of existing work is strictly prohibited. Participants shall assume all liability arising from copyright disputes.

Usage of Selected Works
A maximum of 50 shortlisted works will be exhibited during the "Blue Wave Conference: Youth Empowerment for Ocean Science and Action." The "Blue Wave Art Popularity Award" will be conferred based on audience engagement, and certificates will be issued. Submission of entries implies the author’s consent for the organizers to display the work. Entries will not be returned, regardless of selection status.
