On September 14, 2022, the "Ocean Decade" Decade Coordination Unit （DCU） organized the first regular meeting of DCU, DCCs and DCOs. The meeting was held online with the participation of representatives of 5 approved DCCs and 3 DCOs. DCC-OCC and its sponsor, the International Office of the First Institute of Oceanography, joined the meeting. The meeting introduced the basic situation of the coordination centers and offices, established a contact network for the internal coordination mechanism, and discussed the approved Ocean Decade action and the first year's work plan that the agencies are responsible for coordination and liaison. The first meeting was held successfully, which marked the beginning of the regular operation of coordination mechanism of Ocean Decade. DCC-OCC will play an active role in coordinating and fulfilling the responsibilities of the Center in accordance with the requirements of this meeting. The meeting decided that the second regular meeting will be held on November 30.
